More pics from my birthday party in the office

Boss found out it was my birthday and immediately ordered poor Tweetie to fly out to get a cake. Little bird flapped her wings so hard and came scrambling back with a super rich and very frozen Tiramisu from White Dog Cafe @ Vivo! It was absolutely yummy and a tad too frozen...

On the cake, they put 1 big candle and 8 small ones... I'm only 18! (ya... right...)

So touching...

Mei Chin, Jes, Me, Bin Hong, Khim & Pooh Bear!

I wish... I wish... I wish...

Well, the cake was frozen hard, so the knife just sat on top of the cake!

I like Khim's dress, and almost ripped it off her!

Sushi thumb drive and a humping dog

A very witty Rumiko sent me my birthday present a couple of days ago. And the stuff she sent were so cute...

Sushi Thumb Drive! CUTE lor...

Yes I know it looks very big. But who cares... It's CUTE!

And this one is outrageous. This dog... it's not a thumb drive.

This little doggie here does absolutely nothing at all but hump my computer!
OK, it's midnight now, and I think my already small eyes are starting to look even smaller now... Blame my naturally long lashes for being too long and heavy or too much eyeshadow or whatever... Fact is, I'm just sleepy. So good night my friends, sweet dreams...

Birthday Chocolates

So Prince H & Duke O felt really bad for not having been here in Singapore to celebrate my birthday. And they thought of the best solution they could to send me some of my fave and rich Norwegian chocs to fatten me up. Unfortunately, according to Duke O, the flights were very full. And even the one they finally put my chocs on were also badly overbooked. But since it was coming to a very important Princess, they demanded that the chocs make it here in Singapore, even if it had to be tied to the wings of the plane... And the best solution the freighter could manage, was this...

So this was what I received today... although 2 days late, it was still a very warm gift. Thks guys, really appreciate that!

Movie... Sunset...

A friend invited to watch a movie on Friday. Really special because it was not the usual completed movie that you see in the cinema. It was actually a draft cut. A movie near completion, but without special effects and sound effects or music. It was a really good experience for me. Of course after I watched the movie, I had to contribute my thoughts abt the movie, say what I liked or did not like abt the movie. Unfortunately, I can't blog too much abt that movie I watched. So... ... Let's talk abt something else.

Was chatting with the same friend online and then fell asleep on the living room couch earlier. But I woke up with the hot sun right in my face. It was so glaring but beautiful. I sprang out of sleep and reached for my camera and started snapping. Was hoping to be able to capture the beauty of sunset. But my silly Nikon Coolpix didn't quite do much service to the beautiful sunset...

Anyway, thank you , my dear friend for inviting me to the movie. It was a rare chance and it proved very interesting as well. I learnt quite a few new things. Thks again... ...

881

Was at Cathay Orchard Cineleisure earlier. Watched Royston Tan's latest movie 881. It was very touching. A local production well made is all I can say.

Throughout the movie, I could hear sobs and sniffs coming from almost everyone around me in the theater. Especially the last part. And the Hokkien songs, they were just simply very meaningful. For those of you who have not watched it yet, go catch it. Worth the money.

MOS Burger served me this

I went to MOS Burger at Parkway Parade yesterday evening. Ordered a Yakiniku Rice Burger, a Prawn Burger, a small fries and a corn soup. The place was 90% empty, and we waited slightly over 5 mins before our food was served. but when I opened the wrapper to eat my Yakiniku Burger, I saw black vegetables. I'm not kidding... It obviously looked like it was not fresh (although I would like to describe it as rotting). Take a closer look below...

They must probably thank their lucky stars that I was in a good mood and also in a hurry and decided not to kick up a fuss over it. I merely fished out the vegetables quickly and ate up the rest of my burger quickly and then left. However, I did leave the vege lying on the tray openly, and I'm sure the staff or manager who clears my tray would have seen it.

Actually, now as I'm writing this, I feel that I should have just made a complain there and then. But pls, all of you out there, next time you patronise MOS Burger (or any other restaurants), pls look carefully at what's under yr bun. And do make a complain (instead of keeping quiet like me)!!!

Tokyo Trip (Part 3)

Yes, yes, other than fish, there were other sights that we took in. First up was really nice food. Sushi, right at the Tsukiji market. See the following pictures and drool... ...

Look at the Sushi! Georgous isn't it?

Notice the size of the fish vs the rice below!!!

Cute Japanese sushi chef

Another chef busy making sushi

See... He can make so many trays of sushi in a very short period

Rumiko... So sweet...

Anyone seen this in Singapore? Mini spring onion sushi!

Botan Ebi sushi... おいしい。。。

And this is Anago, sea eel. Not the cheap China eel in teriyaki sauce sold in Singapore. See the difference?!

Ok, Ok, I know, I'm supposed to post more than just food, so see below for more sights we caught in Japan.
Doggie Restaurant, for both humans and pooches

And this one, as the sign suggests, pooches only! Cute...

Tweetie did a nice shot of me at Odaiba Venus Fort fountain

But I did such a disservice to her in this pic... Oops, sorry Tweetie

Caught on camera... Tweetie attempting to eat Kitty!

Tokyo Tower!!!
After 2 days in Tokyo, our group moved on to the Gotenba area near Mt Fuji. We stated at another hotel with plenty of Onsens. The hotel name was wired... It's called GOTENBA KOUGEN HOTEL BRUSH UP. Don't ask me... I have no idea! But, it was quite a nice place, a little old, but clean and comfy. But I have to complain... There was NOTHING in the mini bar!

Tweetie & me

See how happy we are!

Lucky us also had the chance to go see Mt Fuji. And I was supposed to climb all the way to the top, but... sigh... nevermind... Anyway, we also went to a cave, that was supposedly formed when Mt Fuji erupted many many many years ago. And amazingly, then cave can maintain a low temperature of 13 degrees celcius throughout the year. Then we went to a beautiful place. The waterfall... It was absolutely beautiful. Nice waterfall with Koi swimming freely around. Yes, Koi... Fat gold colored ones. Beautiful...

A signboard telling us how high Mt Fuji is

Partial view of Mt Fuji. The top was hidden in the fog

As you can see, the winds were very strong and COLD!

No idea what this is

Khim & Me... Strong winds...

Looks quite steep dosen't it?

Mt Fuji is really not as nice looking... black & red volcanic ash...
